We have a new feature available to us now that we’ve switched vending systems – Gift Boxing!!

You can use this service to buy a gift for a friend and save the gift for a special time and place. You simply choose to get the item as a gift box and you can save it to give it to them at a later time. This allows you to wait for holiday parties, special moments, etc.

Here is a very detailed explanation on how to do this. (Grab a coffee)

Click on any vendor tag in the in-world store. Choose the Gift option.

 

When the next screen pops up choose In a GiftBox.

It will then ask you the name of the intended recipient. Please make sure you put the firstname and surname. (If no surname enter Resident).

Click Ok. Then right click on the vendor and choose pay.

A popup will advise you to go to a website. Please click Go to Page.

The website will give you the gift box selection options provided by CasperVend. These are automatically offered and we are not able to override these options. You can “nest” this box inside another if you so choose but please do not remove scripts to put in another item.

A confirmation page will appear.

Accept the gift box in world.

Rez the box. When you rez the box you are able to change the name of the box. Please do so or you’ll have a bunch of boxes called CHR11. Click Change Name.

In the next Popup type the name of the box you’d like to use.

Now your gift box is renamed and ready to go! Pick up the item.

 

If you lose the gift box don’t stress, the intended person can receive an additional copy from the redelivery vendor in the mainstore.
